Reflection post...haha
Here's a disclaimer. Most of what im going to talk bout today is going to be stolen from other places!

Last christmas, I received a book titled "Whatever you think. Think the opposite." by Paul Arden. It's really an interesting read with ideas that contrast the safe choices we always made. It was the perfect gift and i thank the person who gave it to me...but i dun think he will be able to receive this thank you...oh wells...

It brought about certain things which i wanna discuss...
first being an article about being unreasonable in the book....George Bernard Shaw once said 'The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable man adapts the world to himself. All progress depends upon the unreasonable man'. Admit it...it actually does make sense...some things are beyond logic and reason...so why so we try so hard to make everything reasonable...dun try to perfect things before it starts...work it out along the way...it works better that way...

second is a quotation from Oscar Wilde, an Irish playwright, novelist, poet. A little background infomation bout Oscar Wilde. Borned in the year 1854 and died in the year 1900 at the mere age of 46. He is then seen by his community as homosexual. Later tried to get rid of his homosexual tendancies by marrying Constance Lloyd in 1884. And yes....he was out of the closet back in those days already. If u are interested in anymore infomation about him...do search online or try the book 'The Secret Life Of Oscar Wilde'.
He once said 'Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone eles's opinions, their lives a mimicry. Their passions a quotation.' I think it is pretty much self explanatory...what say you?

Third is stealing. No...not items...but ideas....here's what the book says...steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour films, music, books, paintings, poems, photographs, conversations, dreams, trees, architecture, street designs, clouds, lights and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic.
Authenticity is invaluable.
Originality is non-existent. Don't bother concealing your thievery---celebrate it if you feel like it!
Remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: 'It's not where you take things from---it's where you take them to.'

so yes...i am stealing ideas from places and people who live in the past...but the response is mine...so what u feel after u read this post of mine is up to you....have ur own perspective...and live the way u want to.

P.S. this is a picture i toke off from http://www.fridae.com/newsfeatures/article.php?articleid=2168&viewarticle=1 . Its really good that certain places are already making such efforts for equality instead of prejudice...i await the day singapore can be too...
